Stormans Inc. needed visual cohesion brought to their business verticals umbrellaed by the Bayview Thriftway brand, a chain of locally owned independent supermarkets in Olympia Wa. also offering event catering services and a cooking school.

Bayview Thriftway and Ralphs Thriftway stores had a recognizable presence in Olympia Wa. but the vertical offerings were difficult to associate with the established brand. Our team based the logo changes on the company’s preferred logo (Bayview Catering, above left) as well as the typeface used in their iconic Bayview Thriftway store sign (below).
Multiple logo lockups were provided along with a new color pallete.

Through the design process, alternates were provided but not implemented.
