  • Because after nearly 20 years of saying “sure!” and quietly building a tiny pile of creative resentment, I finally learned that clear boundaries are kinder than unspoken frustration. This is my profession, not just a fun hobby I break out at parties — and charging helps me show up happily, generously, and without internal eye-twitching.

  • Totally okay. There is zero obligation and absolutely no hard feelings. I’m always happy to suggest alternatives, refer other creatives, or help you think through options that don’t require me quietly working until midnight.

  • Ah yes, the famous “quick thing.” While I can move efficiently, most creative work involves more time than it appears from the outside (planning, editing, exporting, revising, exporting again…). If it’s truly simple, we’ll figure that out together — no pressure, no guilt.

  • It applies to my professional services, delivered with the same care, quality, and attention as any client project — just at half the rate, because I love you and also need to pay my bills.

  • Sometimes! When I offer it freely and joyfully, as an actual gift. If I haven’t offered, please assume this is a professional request and not a surprise generosity test.
